Open to all eligible institutions

Universities, national and private colleges, TVET institutions, KMTC and other approved post-secondary institutions in Kenya.

Verified, one application per student

Your National ID / Maisha Card or birth certificate entry number, phone and email can only be linked to a single account.

Need-based and fair

Applications are assessed against published criteria covering financial need, family background and vulnerability.

Who can apply

  • Kenyan students admitted to or currently studying in an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Students facing genuine financial difficulty, including orphans, students from single-parent homes and low-income households.
  • Applicants able to provide accurate personal, institution and family details.
  • One application per student — duplicate accounts are rejected during verification.

What you need to apply

  • National ID / Maisha Card, or birth certificate entry number for applicants under 18.
  • Admission or registration number from your institution.
  • Institution name, course and year of study.
  • Parent or guardian name and contact details.
  • A valid M-PESA phone number registered in your own or your guardian's name.

Confirm your declaration and pay the KSh 49 application processing fee by M-PESA.

Your application number is generated once the application is complete and submitted.

Submitted details and documents are checked by our review team against the published criteria.

Selection and decision

Applications are scored and a decision is recorded. Rejections always include a written reason.

Allocation and disbursement

Where applicable, awards are allocated and disbursed according to the published allocation rules.

An application processing fee of KSh 49 applies to each completed scholarship application. Payment of the processing fee does not guarantee scholarship selection, approval, allocation, or disbursement. All applications are subject to the applicable eligibility, verification, and selection criteria.
